Wwoofing
Monday, 30 October 2006
The Abel Tasman hike was gorgeous. The coast line here is spectacular. There are so many shells and rocks on the beach making the sand golden and intricate. The weather was a bit rough. The wind and rain made the tramping a bit cold, but there were huts to warm up in. I stayed in my tent every night except the last day. It was just too wet and windy. There were 8 of us in the hut, and it was...haunted. The hut was built in 1898. I can’t even begin to to describe the noises that came out of that place. Gave me the creeps, but I’m here, alive and well. I have decided to do some Wwoofing here in Wanui Bay. There is a sweet couple I am staying with, Crian & Deanne, and their three kiddies.
