People Watching
Monday, 02 October 2006
Hayden got me to REI to buy a tent and then to the airport just in time. The flight to LA was short. I wasn’t aware that Horizon Air gives you complementary wine. So I had a glass of chardonnay. I was in the very last row, back right corner. The flight attendant had to practically yell at me to ask me what I wanted because the engines were so loud. I think she took pity on me because she filled my wine glass three more time. Needless to say I was a bit snockerd when I got to LAX. The international terminal there is quite a fascinating place to people watch. So I spent about an hour feeling quite tall being shoved aside by little Asian people with really large bags and carts! I got into Fiji this morning at 5am welcomed by a three piece band playing some nice island music. Nadi reminds me a lot of the islands in southern Thailand, a bit cleaner though. I’m off to the north side tomorrow to get my advanced scuba certification.
